深圳是现代中国经济发展的奇迹。在短短的20年期间，深圳从一个不起眼的渔村成为了生机勃勃的大都市，吸引了海内外各路精英来到这里大展身手。深圳与香港（离开这里不远）有相似之处，却又是那样的不同。华侨城（最初是海外归国华人定居的地方，简称OCT）是一个发展完善的社区，也是深圳发展历史的见证人。在新的社会环境下，政府允许对相对陈旧的建筑和工厂进行重建和改建，使之适应创意和设计产业的发展需要。侨城旅友国际青年旅舍（Loft Youth Hostel）和侨城现代艺术中心（Loft Modern Art Centre）位于创造和艺术园区内，为全世界各地的艺术家和设计师们提供了一个相聚相识的环境，从而能互相激励，互相触发灵感，融合新旧艺术，为中国创造出新的设计艺术语言。旅舍距离侨城东地铁站（出口A）约800米，侨城北地铁站（出口B）约700米。这里环境优美，绿树成荫，紧邻现代艺术中心“LOFT”。艺术中心经常举办国际和国内艺术家创作的作品展览。在同一个地方还有酒吧、咖啡馆、美术馆、时装店和设计工作室。旅舍建筑原是一幢不起眼的民房，本着“简朴就是力量”的宗旨，设计师将其改建成为了一个高质量的经济住宿设施和交流中心。设计定位以简洁和致力新旧建筑混合带出一股新品位的国际气氛。简朴的力量显示在对基本和简单材料的运用。设计师利用新旧建筑的互相呼应和一些故意保留下来的原有设计和材料，营造了当地不同时段转变的透视效果。我们的使命是推广文化交流，提高环境意识，强化社会责任感。我们专长组织青年交流活动，帮助年轻一代开拓视野，增进理解。我们的组织人员均为双语外籍人士，在这个领域有着丰富的国际经验。旅舍提供小型宿舍房、单人房、双人房和家庭房，有自助厨房、洗衣房、互联网和咖啡馆。坐地铁到侨城东站下车，从“A出口”右拐步行约2分钟左右看到加油站或康佳集团的标志后右转入恩平街，直行5分钟至丁字路口，左拐沿恩平街步行约3-4分钟至恩平街和香山东街的丁字路口边上。
LOFT现代艺术中心就在旅舍后面。民俗文化村和古代建筑公园是值得一看的景点，步行即可到达。民俗文化村的艺术家来自全国各地，都是真正的民间艺人。欢乐谷主题公园和世界之窗主题公园则是轻松有趣的旅游景点。深圳福田红树林鸟类自然保护区（观鸟）地处海滨（步行45分钟）和植物园（步行15分钟），都可以从旅舍方便地前往参观。
宿舍床位最长只能入住7天，7天之后任何其它的预订形式均不再接受入住床位。 宿舍床位不适于65岁以上长者居住。
Maximum stay in dormitory is 7 consecutive nights. No return within a week. No any other forms of reservation will be accepted, either in person or via internet. Dormitory bed are not suitable for those age 65 or above.
Booking will be cancelled for any arrival later than 18:00 without advance notice.
Our reception closes at 24:00 hrs. As Shenzhen Police requires scanning resident's identity document at the time of check-in and forward information to their database online. We are sorry that we can not take late comer arriving between 24:00 and 07:00 except those already registered.
Check in time is 14:00. Early check in is subject to room/ bed available and is at the discretion of the management.
In the interest of safety and convenience, hosteller staying in dormitory is only allowed to bring one backpack or suitcase of size (volumn) not greater than 0.35 cubic metre plus a small handheld baggage. We reserve our right to refuse check-in for those who do not abide by the aforementioned requirement.
(Peak Period: summer vacation, 1st Oct-7th Oct and Chinese New Year which is around late Jan or earlier Feb each year)
No credit card facility at hostel.
Room/bed charges shown are member rate. Non-member pays surcharge RMB10 to 15 for dorm bed/room on arrival.
