The picturesque little town of Schaffhausen is situated right on the Rhine, at Switzerland's most northerly tip. The youth hostel is located in a former manor house dating back to the 16th century. In days gone by, Schaffhausen was a famous meeting place for artists and poets but nowadays the town opens its portals to anyone versed in the art of living.

| Thank you for having maps available and your friendliness. Fresh cucumber and tomato for breakfast was a real luxury. It was a really charming place.
