Dreamer Hostel is located in this picturesque Hispanic town considered to be the oldest in the country. Thanks to its natural features. it is called "La Perla de América" (The Pearl of America). Its beaches have white sand and most of them have quiet waters. Apart from its historic center with fortifications and some monuments from the Republica period, it is worth mentioning the locality of El Rodadero, the majestic Sierra Nevada de Santa Marta and beautiful places like Arrecifes, Playa Blanca, Punta de Betín, El Parque Nacional Tayrona, Taganga, Bahía Concha y Neguange.
It is important to highlight Quinta de San Pedro Alejandrino, declared Homeland Sanctuary, that works as Museo Bolivariano at present. This is one of the most important towns in Colombia from the tourist point of view, very much visited both by nationals and foreigners.

A garden, a large swimming pool, a basket- ball pitch in front of the hostel (coming soon).
Bar El Coelho opens everyday, pool table, an Italian restaurant (with homemade pasta) open for breakfast, lunch and dinner.
For those who like cooking their own meals, we have a fully equipped kitchen open all day, two dining areas, BBQ and a TV room with cable TV and DVD open 24 hours and free WiFi. We also have a wide selection of rooms, from comfortable and spacious ensuite dormitories with twin beds and a double bed (air conditioning available).
Our hostel offers information and arranges tours to the main attractions in the region, such as the Lost City, diving in Tayrona National Park, tour to Punta Gallinas (northwest most point in Southamerica), Guajira Desert region, the dreamed destination of San Blas and Panamá for those who want to keep on traveling to Central America.
Dreamer Hostel boasts a strategic location just 15 minutes from the city center. It allows the visitor to avoid the cogestion and noise typical of a city. There is a very easy bus service to everywhere around Santa Marta, such as Taganga, Rodadero, Sierra Nevada, etc ... Directions
| Bus: | Terminal Terrestre in Santa Marta is 5 km from the hostel. You can take a taxi and tell the driver the address before agree to the service. To get to the hostel you need to pay the minimun fare, which is between 2,50 USD and 3 USD. If you rather go by bus, take the ones with a sign saying "Mamatoco", get off at the entrance of Colegio Inem and walk straight 4 streets until you reach the hostel. |

| We are travelling since 5 months - this hostel is one of the best so far. Clean, Secure & very comfortable. The pool is just fantastic, and there is some party athmosphere, but just as much as you can sleep in the rooms any time at night. Beds are comfortable.
THe hostel is a good base for all explorations in the area, Park Tayrona, Ciudad Perdida, Taganga, Diving..

| Staff was ok when we arrived but the guy in the morning was not helpful providing us a cab. More than that, pool is fine. | ||
