It was an amazing hostel, with full of friendly staff. We really enjoyed staying in Casa Yoses.

Didn't take up this reservation. Not around any issues with my earlier visit, I just saved a large taxi fare by staying in Alajuela near the airport as this "stay" was just prior to leaving the country.

Breakfast ; The first day; the cutlery and crockery it was served on were dirty. The third day the cook appeared to go AWOL so the pancake which comprised a third of it was missing. Maybe not down to the hostel(?) The taxi arranged by them from the airport wasn't unsafe but it was the fastest vehicle on the ring road by a way. He appeared to be doing nearly twice the speed limit at times - getting through immigration took a long time so I was late getting through. The booking form suggested there were single sex dorms although the hostel did tell me in advance that this wasn't the case. I'm aware that this is common but I don't agree with mixed-sex dorms. On the plus side staff were very helpful and informative, looked after my bag on departure day, and booked me a taxi to the bus station. Internet access by computer was good, and the area appeared pretty safe as did the walk from the city centre. There's a decent supermarket nearby.

A nice and easy going hostel, no noise and good (but very full of sugar) breakfast.

Great hostel, very friendly. Could have done with more kitchen utensils to use for my own cooking.

Very nice single room for $25. Large and spacious with plenty of light. Breakfast was included, which was nice.

The airport pick up was good, but it was all downhill from there. The breakfast which was part of our booking did not exist, the kitchen was dirty, extremely poorly equipped and basically a health hazard, the double bed appeared to be made with single bed sheets which were useless with two people in the bed, the hostel was claimed to be a booking agency for Grays bus lines but staff didn't know about it. We cannot recommend this hostel at all. It appears to have been good once, but it does not now meet Hostelling international standards. In a word it is the worst hostel we have ever stayed in anywhere in the world.

This was the best experience at a hostel I have ever had. The staff was so friendly and took care of all our trip planning. I have already recommended this place to several people!
