The Hostel "Al Castagno" is situated in San Fili(CS), a pleasant landscape situated at 600 mt above sea level. It is a little medieval town which stands on a soft slope and dominates the valley of the River Emoli, a few kilometres from Cosenza and the University. It offers the occasion to whoever wishes to spend their free time in touch with nature or practice a sport. The hostel is close to the sea and the closest main town is Paola, a place famous for being the birth place of Saint Francis, protector of sailors and where stands his renowned sanctuary. Also in the vicinity there's Guardia Piemontese, a little town of Valdesan origin, famous for its spas until we arrive at the suggestive Riviera of the Cedres (Riviera dei Cedri). Besides, the hostel offers groups the possibility of going on outings in the enchanting National Park of Calabria (Parco Nazionale della Calabria)
