Along the Hälsingland Farm Trail an old farmstead once rebuilt as a home for retired people in the 1930s now houses the hostel.
The Edsbyn hostel is located along an old village
road, between farmhouses and across from a
turn-of-the-century parsonage. When directing
you to us, locals may refer to the farm as “Doma”.
The farmhouse has been restored with care
over many years, but the murals in the dining
room and the large cast-iron range in the
kitchen are genuine 1930s vintage. In the
summer, chickens scratch in the garden and
bees hum between the flowers and apple trees.
The hostel has been run in partnership with
STF since 1975 and is open year-round.
