Avesta is famous for being the greatest. At least to have the world's largest Dala horse and the world's largest coin. But maybe that is the Old Village in the Avesta that charms the most, with its history from the 1600s.

The hostel is located in a quiet residential area next to the Dala River, just outside the center of town. The hostel is cozy and there are comfortable double and family rooms and well equipped kitchen. Here you can sit on the balcony or in the garden and enjoy fresh air and birdsong.

Do you enjoy Dalälven you can borrow a rowboat or canoe or take a refreshing swim from the pier. For those who are interested in culture there is an old foundry - today Administration - which is a great art cathedral. Every two years, will return Administration with Avesta Art, which is a major international art exhibition. Other activities include go-karting, Icelandic horses, golf and speedway. There is also a pleasure to just take a stroll through the village and experience the old atmosphere spanning over four centuries.
