To Åsa comes many people from Göteborg, which thanks to the railways could get out of town. This is where the Bohuslän rocks and southern Sweden's long sandy beaches.

The hostel is a former summer colony for many years received less fortunate children from Jämtland. Today the building is restored and a very popular hostel where you can enjoy saltwater swimming and lazy days in a living cultural traditions. Still organized activities and camps for children, now in IOGT's auspices.

Asa is on a peninsula formed by a nature reserve. Heath extending across the peninsula offers a magnificent view over the sea. There are also several Bronze Age cairns, which testifies to the strategic defense mode.
