The hostel is beautifully situated overlooking the mountains and valley, a button mil outside Åre village. Stay cozy and quiet, close to nature and yet close to both ski slopes and hiking trails.
Åre is known nationwide for its wonderful skiing in Åre mountain, which attracts tourists beyond Sweden's borders. But Åre is more than that. In these environments, people of mountaineering, paragliding, mountain biking, golf and horse riding. Åre has become a mecca for any sporting activity.
The hostel is excellent as a starting point for mountain hikes because it is so close to the train station in The Field and its proximity to such Stensdalen, goose and Lunndörren. The hostel was originally a farmhouse and is the winter base for Åre Ridcenter. Most rooms are dormitory and you have access to a large well-equipped kitchen. Relations with Åre is good and there are buses morning and evening.
