Sète Youth Hostel is an atmospheric villa dating from 1903, located on the slopes of Mont Saint Clair, with a commanding view over Sète city centre, the Mediterranean Sea, and the Etang de Thau lagoon.
You will enjoy a unique setting, with an outdoor dining room with sea view, meal service, an individual kitchen, snack service in summer, a lounge, a bar, a parking lot (please note that if you're coming by car, you must take Paul Valéry street, then Belfort street), 24h room access, and a picnic area in the garden.
We offer 20 4-bedded rooms in a tree-shaded park, and 4 2-bedded rooms on the villa's first floor. Small campsite in summer.
The Youth Hostel is located 5 minutes by foot from Sète's city centre, shops, bars and restaurants on the canals, daily indoor market, and 4 weekly markets.
10 min from the nearest bus stop enabling you to go to the beach (10km of light sand beaches), or to the train station (20 min by foot, map available on request).
Sète is also Georges Brassens and Paul Valéry's home town, and you will find many museums and festivals such as Images singulières pour la photo, Worldwide, Jazz à Sète, Fiesta Sète pour la musique and Voix Vives pour la poésie. Most of them are organized in the Théâtre de la Mer (Sea Theatre), an outdoor theatre whose stage is opened on the sea and the stars.
Sète Youth Hostel is also a place for you to rest and relax, in the heart of the city and close to all its services.

Customer Reviews Sète

| Very nice view from the terrace, friendly staff, clean room... Good deal! | ||

| My comments on staff are not regarding reception staff, who were pleasant and friendly, but the lady in charge of the breakfast service was so surly and unco-operative it was like something out of a sitcom. Whenever we asked for more hot water it was treated as an unreasonable request - especially if it was near to the end of service - she would tell us we must wait 5 minutes and then presented us with a jug of luke warm water! So I felt I couldn't give an overall rating of anything other than poor. | ||

| Great hostel, lots of character, friendly staff, fantastic views and a good breakfast. Would have liked an extra blanket, luckily there were 2 free beds in our room so we were able to use theirs, but otherwise it might have been a cold night. Would recommend this hostel and would love to go back in Summer! | ||

| Tranquil, clean, very friendly people. That hill seems to have got steeper since 1985 though :) | ||

| After you have climbed a rather steep hill you enter a really good hostel with a nice view over the city and the sea. The comfortable rooms and the bathrooms were always clean. The varied breakfast was really good, too. With the staff being friendly there's nothing left to be desired. | ||

| The hostel is located high on a hill. It is hard to get. The site must be placed street plan, as prvy times its hard to find. Hostel response: | ||

| There are a few very good things about this hostel, and some very bad ones. The good: good staff, top-notch breakfast, good community and common area, and big lockers in the room. The bad: steep climb up to the hostel from the street, no Internet/wifi, and no soap in bathrooms (yes, this is a necessity) made this stay slightly annoying. | ||
