Come and stay at Hostel Rouen, located in the historic town of Rouen, the historical capital city of Normandy. Renowned for its medieval cobbled streets and antique shops, this is a cultured city with many museums and churches.

Our hostel is located in the city's old Auvray dyeworks factory, which dates back to 1780, and provides accommodation in rooms of 2 – 6 beds. We also offer a range of facilities including a kitchen, laundry, internet access and breakfast, which is included in the price.

Hostel Rouen gives you a good starting point to explore everything Rouen has to offer. Stroll around the old city streets and discover the outstanding architectural heritage; visit the many parks and gardens, including the Botanical Gardens which are free to enter and open all year; or simply take a walk along the river Robec which runs right next to the hostel.

I paid 11 euros supplement for sole use of two-bed room, but on the Sunday night another person was also in the room. He was exceptionally pleasant, but I was confused as I thought I had sole use (being a snorer and all - I'm sure the young man must have had a dreadful night!) The young lady with all the metal in her ear soon realised her mistake and I was refunded 6 euros - but it probably should not have happened.

Very clean but not the best location to walk. Despite this, there is a bus stop literally 50 meters away from the hostel.

Lovely if modern building, but hell to find if you go for the City Centre. go for the Gare SNCF and you just can not miss Route de Darnetal, the sign to the Auberge de Jeunesse is then on your right and low down.
