The town of Rotenburg, first built 800 years ago, is ideally located between Hamburg and Bremen, on the western border of the Lüneburg Heath, surrounded by charming heath land, woods and fens. The youth hostel is in a woodland area with old deciduous and coniferous trees on the south-western outskirts of town and close to many enchanting green valleys.
