The youth hostel Punkl can be found just a step away from the centre of Ravne na Koroškem. Punkl is the first youth hotel which is structured as an independent low-energy consuming structure in lines with the natural and bioclimatic characteristics of its surroundings.
With its 570 m2 the hostel offers 48 beds for its visitors. The sleeping areas are organized in 8 flexibly formed rooms so that the guests can choose rooms with 2, 4 or 8 beds and included bathrooms. One of the rooms is designed to accommodate disabled guests.
In the hostel there is a special storage area intended for storing bicycles skies and other sports equipment. The guests can also use the breakfast room with a kitchen, laundry room, wireless internet connection in all rooms of the hotel and the internet area, information point, common rooms for relaxing and organizing different events for guests and visitors (lectures, teaching, seminars…) and a free parking space.
The youth hostel Punkl is intended for individuals as well as groups (families, sports teams, clubs, schools and business groups) due to its location near natural treasures of Koroška, a rich cultural history, iron and steel trade traditions, several preserved monuments, the Forma viva, the birth house of one of the greatest writers of Koroška Prežihov Voranc (Prežihov’s house). There are also excellent possibilities for hiking, cycling, mountain climbing, rafting and the sports park Ravne is just around the corner (athletic path, outdoor Olympic swimming pool, indoor 25m swimming pool for swimming and relaxation, spa, skiing, ice-skating, swimming, fitness, basketball, football, beach volley, tennis…) and many other activities offered by the Youth centre Ravne.
