Homey touches like the ping-pong table,free wi-fi and in-house laundry service (M$50 per load) supplement nice clean six-bed dorms, each with its own bathroom and spacious locker facilities.

*We are the Newest and the best hostel in town and really just steps from the main beach in Puerto Vallarta (playa de los muertos) where all the action takes place, no need to spend on buses or taxis, everything is at walking distance, just around the corner you will find: restaurants, coffe shops, bars, discos, grocery stores, the pier (water taxis to yelapa, etc), just grab your towel and hit the beach!!
*We are located in the heart of the romantic zone (old town), in a residential and safe area without all the traffic noise from the streets or the highway.
*This is not a party hostel but if you are looking for fun and night life you have it just around the corner but at the same time you know that here you can come to relax and have a nice night sleep.
*This is the hostel you can trust super clean, safe, fun and cheap!!!! Run by back packers so we know what you are looking for….

Directions
| Bus: | At the bus terminal take the bus that says "Tunel" or "Centro" and ask to be dropped at Olas Altas. From there, just walk towards the beach and you will see the main street called "Olas Altas". Turn left there. We are two blocks away on the left hand side (it is the same street as Olas Altas Pier). |

| Sea port: | We are just a few steps from Olas Altas Pier, where the boats for Yelapa and the other beaches leave from. |
| Location: | Right at the Romantic Zone just around the corner from the main street Olas Altas |
| Airport: | Take a taxi ($250 Mexican Pesos) or the public transport: (under the pedestrian bridge) the bus is blue and white and it says "tunel". Get off at the last stop and just walk 2 blocks towards the beach until you ge to the main street "Olas Altas". Take a left there and continue for two blocks. We are on the street of Muelle de Olas Altas, on the left hand side. |

| The hostel is in a great location. I was a bit disappointed when I found out that the rooms are windowless, but that can be a nice change for when the sun is merciless. A big plus is the airco in the bedrooms. The bed linnen were covered in hair when I arrived, but the staff friendly and changed the linnen immediately. The drinking water was very warm, I am not so sure it is really drinkable. The kitchen fridge where one is supposed to store food was incredibly filthy and has not been cleaned in a long time. The kitchen was a bit messy in general, with lots of foodstuff lying around in the open on one cramped shelf. There is no recycling for paper at the hostel, only for plastic bottles, but maybe paper recycling that does not exist in Mexico, I don't know. The staff was friendly although sometimes hard to find when "hiding" in the generally dark space of the common area. | ||

| loved my stay at HI Puerto Vallarta,made many great new friends! very close to the beach, and near the bars and restaurants. had a slight problem with bed bugs, which they know about, so hopefully they have fixed it by now . | The staff was incredibly knowledgable of the area, willing to share their knowledge, friendly and fun. The rooms were incredibly clean. The location is perfect near all the beach activities. I felt safe. That said what made the trip was the guide, Tom Deus, he knew the city and showed me things I would have never seen otherwise, like the beaches, tours of snorkeling and whale watching. Took care of all my needs. | ||

| This place is amazing: Air conditioning, soaking tub, hammocks, palapa lounge, and you couldn't have a better location. Nightlife begins half a block away with affordable quality restaurants and bars. Every bed has an electrical outlet, a reading lamp, and a shelf. I´ve been here for 2 weeks and feel like I could stay the whole season. The staff is really good about keeping the place clean and enforcing the rules (quiet hours). All of the nice public spaces also encourage good cameradarie among guests, including shared cooking and expiditions. | ||
