We had a fantastic stay, amenities were wonderful, rooms were comfy and warm. We were lucky enough to have the whole place to ourselves too!

Warden came very promptly to the hostel when we phoned to enquire about the heating. Was keen to offer help with making phone calls when we found we were short of change. Hostel facilities were good although we were the only people in the hostel and we do wonder if facilities would be stretched in the kitchen if the hostel was full. Overall we had a omfortable stay and in better weather it would be an ideal spot for a holiday walking in the glen. Woodburning stove kept the public area pleasantly warm.

A wee bit more than I would usually pay for hostel. It was unmanned and therefore no service to rate. No mobile phone reception but phone box available inside. For me who booked on line it would be good to have highlighted that a key code was required before arrival as this was written but was way down the email booking and in quite small print hence I didnt read it! ( my fault I know but i arrived with out the key code to get in!)and if this was highlighted would have made life a bit easier.

We had a lovely time at the hostel and both think that it is a beautiful house. Great location to go for walks and we saw a lot of wildlife, our wee friend the squirrel who sat on the fence outside of outr window every day, birds, a stag and of course wild sheep!

I have used Glen Prosen Hostel on many occasions and always recommend it to friends. It is a lovely facility and has been maintained in fantastic condition since it opened. In fact the facilities are always improving. Very warm and clean with plenty of cutlery/crockery, comfy beds with bedding provided. Great!!

Mostly great. Things to improve: Empty wastepaper baskets in rooms and toilets more often. Make sure enough loo paper in toilets.
