The hostel is located in Prässebo the community hall Sommarro, nestled in a rural setting with views of the famous long Bodasjön. The name Sommarö is a telling word for the feeling here. Time goes a little more slowly and in a different rhythm.
The actual hostel is situated high overlooking the lake and the lovely child-friendly swimming area. It was formerly a house of housewives who could come to rest. Rest and quiet, there is still plenty of this but now everyone is welcome.
Within walking distance of the hostel there is the magical pond lake Iglasjön with its red water lilies. The surrounding green hills with thick forests invite to walks along the paths and roads. In Prässebo are also relics of a stone circle and a cist. Bike trail Västgöta Trail passes through Prässebo.
