The hostel is a tastefully converted Whisky Bonded Warehouse and is an ideal base for visiting all of Islay's highlights including: Museum of Island Life, 7 world class whisky distilleries, ancient chapels, unspoilt coastline, Loch Gruinart RSPB Nature Reserve, great walking and wildlife watching. A dedicated Wildlife Centre is based on the premises and the hostel provides extensive local information for visitors. Private and family rooms available.

| Always enjoy staying at Port Charlotte YHA as so clean and so very well organised. The kitchen is one of the cleanest I have ever been in with bins for all recycling including compost. Nothing is ever a bother for the people running it. Bathrooms and toilettes also very clean and have a towel for the floor after a shower. Fantastic. Very very helpful | ||
