Petershagen youth hostel is located right on the river Weser and attracts sports fans and nature lovers alike. The river meadows are great for relaxing walks.
The historic building was updated and opened in May 2010 as a hostel with conference rooms and a multipurpose hall for schools, seminars, clubs and families. Outside the hostel there are a barbecue area, a football pitch and a volleyball field. Our service includes experiential education and we’re happy to help you organise individual and group programmes.

| Bus: | By coach or car: Take A 2, exit 33 Minden/Porta Westfalica and then continue on to B 482 Bremen/Minden-Ost. After about 13km follow signs towards Petershagen. Access for cars is via Besselstraße, access for coaches via Griesebachstraße. |
| Parking: | more than 20 spaces for cars and two spaces for coaches |
| Location: | If you’re cycling you can reach the youth hostel via the “Weserradweg” (long distance cycle track along the river Weser). From south (Minden/Porta Westfalica): At the Brandhorststraße/Sparkassenstraße roundabout in Petershagen turn right into Kreuzstraße. After about 300m you’ll find the hostel on your left in Griesebachstraße. From north (Nienburg) At the “Alte Bahnhof” (old railway station) in Petershagen turn left towards “Altstadt” (old town); at the end of Hauptstraße turn right into Mindener Straße. After about 500m you’ll find the hostel on your left. |
| Rail: | Take a train to Minden railway station; then take bus 6 to Minden central bus station. From platform 7 take bus 501 to “Petershagen Marktplatz” (market square). From there it’s a 6 min walk to the hostel. Alternatively take Regionalexpress train from Minden railway station to Petershagen Lahde. From there take bus 500 to “Petershagen Marktplatz” (market square). From there it’s a 6 min walk to the hostel. |
