Persåsen south of Östersund offers a unique accommodation facility for the small farm. Here gathered craftsmen from all over Sweden to exhibit their work. During the years organized several exhibitions in visual arts, metal, ceramics, Sami handicrafts and wood.
The hostel housed in timber and cozy cottages. The cabins have four beds and are equipped with shower, toilet and a small kitchen. On Persåsen is your opportunity to get a guided tour of the old forest culture and meeting new opportunities. The area from Persåsen and the mountains are famous for their summer pastures. Persåsen is also widely known for its good food. The kitchen draws inspiration from the Jämtland mountains and lakes and forest wealth.
Jämtland is a particular mecca for ski enthusiasts and ice fishermen. But the region is fantastic even in summer when many come here to exploit the mountains for hiking and biking. Storsjöbygden in Jämtland is a stunningly beautiful and varied cultural traditions. In this region, you have panoramic views of majestic mountains and sparkling water. Certain rumors say that there are live sea monster in the Great Lake (Storsjön), the fifth largest lake.
