Southern city where life and party are in the street, Perpignan and its Youth Hostel have everything to attract its visitors, thanks to the typical catalan atmosphere. While visiting the Majorca Kings' Palace, one can feel the influence of nearby Spain... Dali must have liked it very much, as he stayed here very often!
Two hours from Barcelone, Montpellier or Toulouse, in the heart of the region of Roussillon, Perpignan is a must-see if you are visiting the South of France.
Near the sea (30 minutes by train, 15 minutes drive), the mountain and Spain, Perpignan allows travellers and residents to combine culture, relaxation and fun in a unique place, thanks to its geographical location and exceptional climate (over 300 days of sunshine per year)
Hidden behind its cypress hedge, surrounded by conifers, between Boulevard E.Michelet and the Parc de la Pépiniere stands the hostel, typically Catalan.
Whatever the reason for your stay, the staff will be pleased to welcome you and make you enjoy the tourist attractions of our region.
All bus trips in the Pyrénées Orientales are €1. Feel free to enjoy!
New management since March 2012.

Customer Reviews Perpignan

| very, very cold room, zero hot water for washing up - location really out of the way and hard to find and near a barking dog kennel and the highway. Will never return here to stay nor will I ever recommend anyone else to stay here. Friendly staff but the hostel is the very worst that I have stayed at and I stay at many, many hostels. Really should be closed. Hostel response: | ||

| Staff is really kind. There are independent toilets and bathroom sink and lockers with key in each room. There'a also a kitchen with fridges in a separate building and a nice garden. The hostel is near to the railway station (15 minutes walk) and to the center of the town (10 minutes walk). | ||

| The staff, especially Fred, was very helpful and kind. The breakfast was the best that I had in my trip. The bedroom is ok and the showers are (thanks God) hot. The location is good, very close to the city center, but a little bit hard to find. | ||

| Before, I arrived accidently I left my sunglasses at the Carcassonne train station.
When I arrived at the Perpignan hostel, I asked the receptionist to phone up lost property for me but still when I checked out he hadn't done.

| I had a difficulty finding the hostel, maybe the sign should be bigger and more clear. Maybe there should be like a little map sent to us, where/how to find the hostel. | ||

| A wonderful hostel, I stay there every year during Festival Visa pour l'image.
Only sugggestions: The individual lockers in the rooms -- they tried to go with the locks where you put in 1 euro, and this returned when key returned. Nearly all of these are broken, so lockers can no longer be locked (which is why security only received good rating). Would suggest putting on a loop and hasp, so people can use their own locks.
Hot water system could use a review - water never really hot, even if you are first shower of day. No big problem this time of year, but in winter must be miserable. | ||

| didn't really like the city, it was just really touristy and there wasn't a lot to see. hostel was nice though, quite small but really good friendly atmosphere and really nice that everyone sits outside together in the evening, met lots of interesting people. Friendly staff, good kitchen and breakfast. room was too hot at night and the shower was pretty dirty, but overall pretty good | ||
