Pajol Hostel - Paris
Located in an old warehouse of the French railway company, refurbished and transformed into a solar power station (photovoltaic panels on the roof provide the energy needed), the wood-fronted Youth Hostel Pajol, opens on an autonomous unique green area, mixing a covered garden , tree-lines and ponds with aquatic plants. A haven in the turmoil of Paris!
The hostel hosts a theatre, a bar area, a restaurant - overlooking the garden (opening in September 2013)! The complex is designed to foster shared experiences and friendly moments. At the heart of the city of light, this life place will seduce you as much for its modernity, the purity of its lines, the perspective offered by its green areas and its location at the crossroads of Europe.
A few subway stops away, find the high places of Parisian life ... From Montmartre and the Sacré-Coeur to the Canal Saint-Martin, these neighbourhoods are charming. Continue the journey to discover Paris from the sky at the top of the Eiffel Tower and the Boulevard Haussmann and its department stores, the Opera Garnier, the Tuileries gardens linking the famous Louvre Pyramid to the Place de la Concorde.

|Nice hostel, good breakfast. Not in the middle of everything, but very easy to get into town.|

|As a couple we booked a double room. On arrival apparently double room means two bunk beds. This was not clear when we booked and reception staff were unhelpful and seemed irritated that we brought up this issue, until we made a fuss and the manager came over to see us.
To warn anyone-the hostel only has bunk and single beds.
We were eventually moved to a 'VIP' room where there were two single beds we could push together. The rooms have the air of a public changing room at a gym. Particularly annoying was the shower which was one temperature and would only turn on for 10 seconds before going off and you had to press the button again to continue your shower experience with a little burst of cold water to start it off. And this was VIP!
Breakfast 7-9 am for early starts all round. |

|All was very friendly, and clean. A pity there was only a shower in the room and no toilette. the toilette was off the corridor
The noise insulation, heavy doors, is excellent
We enjoyed our stay there. and not too far from the Gare du Nord, 10 min walk, through streets that are safe, as many people are circulating. Interesting area, mostly Indian ( I believe Tamil).
Thank you |

|It was wonderful and the comfy seating area and bar were awesome! It was a little far to travel towing luggage if walking but still possible! :) |

|I stayed at Pajol for two nights and enjoyed it! I took a taxi from Gare du Nord because I arrived pretty late and heard that its not in the best area. The taxi driver found it difficult to find at first but we managed to find it quickly. The staff were very friendly and helpful with my questions. The free breakfast in the mornings were excellent. The rooms were nice and neat, and it was nice that they had large lockers in the room. It was strange having to use wifi only in the lobby, but that was ok. The bathrooms were a bit unclean in that it always smelled of urine and because they are shared bathrooms sometimes the males will have somehow missed the toilet and got some on the floor. Overall it was a wonderful stay and I enjoyed that it was Eco friendly.|

|Could do with a kettle and some sharp knives for the guest kitchen.
Otherwise modern, clean, comfortable and pleasant.|

|the breakfast was poor, add some fresh fruit, more variation of cornflakes, cheese, ham or bacon, boiled eggs... one croissant every day and a rather hard tasteless bread is very little to start the day with. Buffetstyle would be better so you can choose if you take brown or white bread, croissants...
The toiletseats of most toilets are loose, hanging off or laying nest to the toilet
Kitchen staff is not so friendly and the dishes from the day before are still standing in the cleanup-area the next morning... |
