Oslo Vandrerhjem Rønningen YMCA is located in the rural North of Oslo, but still close to the center. Close to "Oslo- Marka" with excellent hiking trails. The hostel offers different room types as for example singel rooms and 4- bedded rooms. A tasteful breakfast is served in the breakfast room. Attractions: The Holmenkollen skijump, the ski museum, Norsk Folkemuseum (Norwegian Museum of Cultural History), old vikingships, the Kon-Tiki museum, and the Munch museum, among others. Ask for the Oslo brochure at the hostel!

| The hostel was good, but in the hostel at the airport, we had a room with shower and toilet for less money.
The hostel is far from the center, so if you are by foot it is uncomfortable, because you have to climb.

| The only challenge staying here was location. We ended up taking a cab there the first night because it was too late for public transit. After that the walk up the hill from the tram stop was not bad. A little off the beaten path if your interests were in the center of Oslo.

| The hostal is located outside Oslo, but as it is a green area close to a beautiful lake, it is well worth it to escape from the city for a few days and stay in more natural surroundings.
The rooms are fine and the bedlinen is excellent! | ||
