The YH is surrounded by trees and lakes in Daisetsuzan National Park. Nukabira Onsen-kyo(hot spring village) is in the
center of Hokkaido. Drop in on us when you
are on the way between Sapporo and Lake Mashu or Shiretoko National Park, and enjoy onsen bathing (3pm-7:30am). Please
send an email about your meal request (breakfast 650JPY and
supper 1200JPY) until the day before your stay.
YH recommends:-
Spring-Autumn: Cycling tour. YH staff sends you & your/rental bicycle to hilltop by car and you go downhill by bicycle.
Jun-Oct: Canoeing in Lake Shikaribetsu. YH staff sends you and your bicycle (approx. 30min) to Horoshika Pass. 1 hour cycling to the lake. The return pick-up servise is also available from the lake (at specified time).
Jul-Sep: Enjoy half-day or one-day trekking at your own pace.
Sep: YH offers a hiking trip around the Mt. Daisestu dyed by autumnal colors.
Winter: YH offers an ice fishing tour on frozen Lake Nukabira.
Dec-Mar: Skiing & snow boarding. Nukabira Ski Ground is within 5min walk from the YH.

[2] From JR Asahikawa Station, take the North Liner Mikuni Bus* bound for Obihiro via So-un-kyo (150 min) and get off at "Nukabira Onsen". "Nukabira-gensenkyo Eigyosho" & "Nukabira Onsen" are same place. 3min(300m) walk to YH.
