| Mont Baron Hostel is a great hostel to stay in. There are frequent buses from Nice and there is a direct bus for 1 Euro to Eze and Monaco. The staff is great and very helpful, too and the roof terrace is great. | ||

| Didn't like how the only way to reach the hostel was by bus (which stops running at only 8 pm). Therefore, we couldn't enjoy the nightlife of Nice nor simply walk on the boardwalk in the cool evening air. To be able to do that, we would have had to pay 17 euros for a taxi up to this distant, secluded mountain. Additionally, the rooms were not locked and the lockers provided were small and you needed your own padlock. | ||

| This was a hostel with good intentions. It was frequently full, and its employees had to deal with last-minute and unscheduled arrivals as best possible.
There are several areas that could improve this hostel. One would be improving the online description of getting to the hostel by public transportation. Unfortunately it was challenging to find the #14 bus stop as described by the HI website since it is a block from its description of being "across the tramway tracks".
Another area of improvement would be security of rooms. The rooms are not locked when the building is open, and while staying there, several items in rooms were stolen. Locks are supposed to be available for a 5 euro deposit of rental, but the lock I was given was too big for the locker attachment.

| I found out last Bus to and from the Hostel is at 21:00 not 20:00 which is good.
It has a lock out period from 10 to 17.
No lock on dorm's door, small lockers in the room.
However I stayed there only one night so I didn't mind all of this.

| the location is sort of mixed bag. On one hand it has a great view and on the other it's really far from the city centre. the rooftop terrace is a great place to hang out though it closes at twelve so it's not really condusive to proper partying | ||

| Receptionists snorting coke as we we're checking in. Bad breakfast. Get a hotel when in Nice. | ||

| The staff were not overtly rude, but they would clearly lie to your face. They would tell you the Internet wasn't working when their staff was loudly laughing about their twitter/Facebook in the common area. The staff would also take food from the free section, which I believe should be reserved for fellow travelers. There are many signs all over the hostel saying breakfast is until 10, yet they always clean up at 9. A girl that we met came down for breakfast at 930 and they said there was no more food, then a few minutes later they took our the food to have breakfast themselves in front of her. The location was out of the way, but there was a bus stop right in front of it which was really
nice. The kitchen, room, and bathrooms we're always clean so it was worth the money. Also the hostel has one of the most breathtaking view from the bar on top.
