| There was only 1 staff that was most helpful at the tour desk. Unfortunately, I did not get his name. Most other hostels I have been to in Australia and NZ were not only very helpful with tours and information but had great tips for travellers.
Although I arrived at the hostel past midnight, I had pre-booked my stay. Despite that, I was assigned to a bed with dirty sheets and no pillows etc. To minimise disturbance to my dorm mates, I did not turn on the lights and just slept with whatever I had.
Nonetheless, overall, had a good hostel experience. | ||

| I didn't sleep well, because every night there was some one busy packing is bags, using her laptop or making noise when arriving back at the hostel afther a pub crawl. | ||

| NYC is a great hostel but they shouldn't cramp 8 beds into a room only big enough for 6 people. Especially once you consider all their luggage etc. The neighbourhood it was in was a bit dicey late at night. | ||

| When I make my booking on internet was an price, but when I arrive in the hostel the girl tell me another price, "because the total paid in the moment of booking is for the web site, not for the hostel, then I need to pay more". Then the girl ask to me: "you have a HI card?" I said "No", then I need to pay U$ 3,00 more for each day, because I dont have the card, but in the website is one price, when you arrive in the hostel they tell you another price! Prepair to paid more U$ 3,00 for each day if you dont have the HI card! I ask for the guy for HI how I need to pay for a taxi, then he tell me U$ 40,00, but when the taxi driver arrive he talks with the guy: "Cuanto le cobraste?" But i speak Spanish too, then I saw if is a diferent price for tourist, if I get a taxi on the street I'll pay less then the taxi calling for the hostel, because the guy from the hostel put some money in the price for him!!! | Great experience, but one downside - Why does there have to be music blasting constantly in all the public areas? I found that completely unnerving and not at all conducive to conversation, study, reading, resting, or a quiet meal or snack. | ||

| I really was surprised, because I didn't think that would be so good and clean. | ||
