Discover the impressive 225-year-old conservation village of New Lanark. Situated in a lovely tree-lined gorge, this World Heritage Site has been beautifully restored. Once the largest cotton spinning complex in Britain, but better known for the 19thC pioneering Utopian social experiments of Robert Owen. Visit the Falls of Clyde, the Scottish Wildlife Trust Visitor Centre and live the past with the Annie McLeod experience. Step over the threshold of the village shop and step back in time. Ideal for school parties. Further afield there's the town of Biggar, the David Livingstone Centre, Strathclyde Park and the Time Capsule. Private and family rooms available.
