The hostel is located on the fringes of New Zealand’s oldest National Park and dual World Heritage area and is the closest hostel to the famous Tongariro Crossing. With magnificent views of the volcanoes right from the doorstep, the accommodation ranges from budget backpacker beds to private ensuite rooms. Other facilities include BBQ, spa pool and Internet. The hostel has been built around a challenging indoor climbing hall: 8m high, 55 different climbs, gear hire, free instruction, open daily. There is also a bar/restaurant next door.
Own bus to Tongariro Alpine Crossing, departs daily (weather permitting) 7.15 am and returns at ~ 4 pm. Our indoor climbing hall is open daily, 35 top ropes, 55 different climbs.
