Situated 2km north west of the city centre, this new hostel offers easy access to Nimes' Roman remains and its magnificent Jardin de la Fontaine. There is capacity for 80 guests and facilities include internet access, laundry, kitchen and meals.

Great hostel nd staff. No wi-fi in the rooms, really far from the city center but easy to reach by public transportation. Hostel response: The wi-fi is on the terrasse, bar, reception etc... No wi-fi in the room it's our choice, for the tranquility of people wanting to sleep. No streaming the night in the sleeping room. Thank you Nathan.

What a lovely hostel! The staff were really cool, which is clearly evident from all the postcards and notes they receive from all over (posted on the walls). It seems like the perfect place to stay to meet new people, especially in the summer. The only drawback is that hike up the hill. If you don't pack lightly, that part will be slightly difficult. Other than that, it is easily accessible by public transport, a better option than walking into center of town, though it's not too bad of a walk anyway. Paired with that hike uphill though, it might be significantly less pleasant. If you're just walking into or from town without your baggage, it's a pretty nice walk. where they are situated is lovely outside city, however not easy to find. Hostel response: Brenda, you have a lot of signs from the center of the city (from the jardin de la fontaine). Thank you for your comment.

Location poor only because of the distance from the center: I had to walk all the way, thinking that there was no direct buses from the center city Hostel response: Cuppone, there is the bus i from the station. It stops at 800 meters from the YOUTH hostel ;)

The customer service is not up to standard at all. In fact, one of the staff was out of order during my stay . Bad behavior and drunkenness from a member of staff was wholly inappropriate and should not be accepted nor tolerated. Hostel response: Luc, you seem to be confused about who are the staff and who are the guests. Your stay was during the FERIA wine festival of Nimes, which as the name suggests is slightly dedicated to Bacchus and the bull culture. Unfortunately this is a difficult time for us in dealing with our guests who like to party too much. By the way, we pride ourselves on the hostels customer service.

Another HI hostel that seems to revolve around staff interests; with much indifference to hostellers, tho very good ambience despite that. Customer needs at a price, eg resouces in kitchen, like cups have to be requested, printout of boarding-pass to be paid for.Overall good tho
