Originally a shooting lodge, 16km from Cahir. Set in a lovely area of the forests of the Galtee Mountains. This is the 2nd of our gaslit Youth Hostels. The entire area has a wealth of attractions like the Rock of Cashel, Swiss Cottage and Mitchelstown Caves. For walkers the youth Hostel is near the Tipperary Way with various mountain trails and walks.
A beautiful circular former shooting lodge owned by Lady Beatrice Pole Carew and Lady Constance Butler. This is a gas lit hostel and there is a solid fuel stove which provides central heating to the dorms.
Enjoy a truly unique hostelling experience in this Tipperary Hostel.
