Godzillas is Moscow's largest and best-known hostel. It was the first independent hostel to open in Moscow and has been featured in The New York Times, Newsweek and The Daily Telegraph.
The hostel is situated in a historical pre-revolutionary building in the centre of Moscow. We are a short walk from all the major tourist attractions (Kremlin, Pushkin Square etc...). The nearest Metro stations are Tsvetnoi Bulvar (3 minutes) and Tverskaya / Pushkinskaya (5 minutes).
We have the widest selection of private rooms (singles, twins and triples) and dorm rooms (4 beds – 10 beds) in Moscow.
We have been operating since 2005 and have extensive knowledge of Moscow and Russia and we will try and help you in any way we can. Besides beds we offer invitations, registration (R600), taxi pick up, Trans-Siberian advice and train tickets.
Godzillas is English owned and American run. It was described in the Lonely Planet (2009 edition) as ‘the best managed hostel’ in Moscow.
Visa support invitations are provided.

Directions
| Metro: | 400m: Tsvetnoi Bulvar (Grey Line) Metro (Tsvetnoi Bulvar): Take the Metro to Tsvetnoi Bulvar Metro station (Grey Line). Exit the Metro and turn left and then first left (by Pizza Hut). Follow the path, through the yards and walk up the steps. Take the left hand path at the fork and follow the path until you reach the road (Bol Karetnyy). Look to your left and you will see a pink building. We are just round the corner and you will see our sign. Please press the buzzer! |

| Location: | 1km: Godzillas is located in the centre of Moscow. It is within easy walk of Pushkin Square (7 minutes) and all the central Moscow sites. At night this area is vibrant with bars, clubs and restaurants. It is a 20-minute walk to the Kremlin and other historic landmarks. From the various train stations it is within easy access via taxi off the Garden Ring or via Metro ( Tsvetnoi Bulvar Metro). The metro is 5 minutes walk away from the hostel. |
| Rail: | 2,5km: Leningradsky, Yaroslavsky and Kazansky Railway Station from the Hostel (easy connection by metro). 3km: Kursky Railway Station from the Hostel. Godzillas can arrange railway pick- up. The cost is R1,000. Trains-Siberian (Yaroslavsky station) - Komosomolskaya Metro (Red & Brown Lines). St. Petersburg / Helsinki & Tallinn (Leningradsky station) - Komosomolskaya Metro (Red & Brown Lines). Riga (Rizhsky station) - Rizhskaya Metro (Orange Line). | Airport: | 25km: Airport "Sheremetevo". Godzillas can arrange airport pick- up. The cost is R2,000 (SVO) Sheremetevo-2 (International) or Sheremetevo-1 (Domestic): Either): Take shuttle bus to Planernaya Metro Station (Purple line). Transfer at Puskinskaya Metro Station (9 stops) onto the Grey Line. The hostel is one stop away at Tsvetnoi Bulvar Metro. Or): Take a shuttle bus to Rechnoi Vokzal Metro (Green Line). Transfer at Tverskaya Metro Station (8 stops) onto the Grey Line. The hostel is one stop away at Tsvetnoi Bulvar Metro. Domodedovo Airport: Take Aeroexpress shuttle train to Paveletsky train station. The journey takes 45 minutes and costs R200. Trains leave hourly or every 30 minutes at peak times. | This is an excellent hostel. Need a map to get there and they supply one if asked. Mini mart nearby. Staff are very helpful and friendly I would definitely stay there again. | ||

| It was super hot in Moscow, around 100 degrees, when we stayed at there. Maybe that was unusual weather, but I think the hostel should have a few fans that guest could check out. We had very poor sleep, which adversely affected our sight-seeing. | ||

| Neither the Moscow hostel or Godzillas Hostel in Suzdal where we also stayed were air conditioned or had fans. Both were very hot at night and as a result most uncomfortable for sleeping.
Suzdal did not have any kitchen cooking facilities which made it difficult to prepare food. | ||

| I reserved on line for 2 private rooms, then was told they were not available as posted on Internet, and I could only get beds in dorms. I reserved at another hostel, but was told I could not get get my deposit back, even though what I reserved was not available ! (their fault, not mine) After several e-mails, I was told I could show up in person to claim my deposit. I was not going to take all that time out of 2 days in Moscow to do that! I don't think that's an acceptable way to treat members. | ||
