The Montpellier hostel is located in the centre of this pleasant university town in the Lower Langedoc region, close to Montpellier’s cathedral, leafy promenades, shops and restaurants. The sandy beaches of the resorts of Palavas-les-Flots, Carnon, or La Grande Motte are within 30 minutes by car.

The Montpellier hostel has a capacity of 94 beds, with a choice of dorms and double rooms. The breakfast is included in the price. The facilities also include free Wi-Fi, a television, bar, pool tables and table football.

Ideally located in the heart of Montpellier, the hostel is just a short-walk from the St-Pierre Cathedral, and also close to parks and the small streets of the historical part of the city. Montpellier is a Mediterranean city full of history, with a great variety of festivals throughout the year, such as the International Festival in June and July, and the International Extreme Sports Festival in May.

It was a good place to sleep, but due to the fact that everything is so old it's not very clean and the sanitary is really oldfashioned. ( I was in a HI-hostel in Bruxelles last night and that one was perfect!)

Some toilets continuously had no toilet rolls, while other toilets had toilet rolls but no soap in the dispensers.

showers are terrible, no toilet paper in the toilets, no soap in the sinks, very noisy at night time, uncomfortable bed (both me and my friend were itching during the night). Breakfast was simple but no complaints as it was included in the price. Would not stay here again, it has slightly put me off HI Hostels, which is a shame as the one in nearby Sete is fantastic.

The heaters in the room were not working and we had just one blanket to spend the night. It was a freezing night, we had to sleep dressed up. I'd suggest not going there during winter.
