Unplugged hostel is one of the HI network of hostels in Uruguay and one of six hostels in Montevideo. The hostel is located in Pocitos, one of the most beautiful and safe neighbourhoods in Montevideo; and conveniently located near to the beach (500 meters) and the famous Rambla. The hostel is spacious with good size rooms and great facilities. The young hostel staff looks forward to welcoming you and making your stay comfortable and enjoyable.

This quiet area has a wide selection of services, such as shops, restaurants and bars, all of them very near the hostel. It is also a few minutes from the main shopping centers.
Our hostel has spacious rooms and with good natural light, a fully equipped kitchen, a lounge with cable TV and DVD and a BBQ where you can enjoy our delicious roast.
We offer a good breakfast and wireless Internet conection in the whole house, 24/7 hot water and 24 hrs reception. In the evenings, you can enjoy drinks and music in our own bar.
It is easy to get here, whether by bus, walking or by taxi. The area also has good public transport going to all the tourist places and attractions in town.

What to do in Montevideo:
BICYCLE RIDES . Hire a bycycle in the hostel and tour Ciudad Vieja and the neighbourhoods of Pocitos, Malvín and Carrasco, through Rambla de Montevideo.
ENJOY A DAY AT THE BEACH. Just 500 mts east of the hostel is Pocitos Beach and 800 mts west, the traditional Ramírez Beach, where the people from Montevideo meet their friends to enjoy the sunset.
FAIRS AND PARKS. In Juan Zorrilla de San Martín Park, 700 mts from the Hostel, every Tuesday and Saturdays there is the Villa Biarritz Fair, known for the variety of fruit and vegetables, clothes and handicrafts. On Sundays, in Rodó Park, 800 mts from the Hostel, there is another fair of similar features to Villa Biarritz Fair. Both parks are on the shores of La Plata River. They are open to the public and you can enjoy them everyday of the week.
POCITOS MUSEUM. Juan Zorrilla de San Martín Museum, Visual Art National Museum and Castillo Pitamiglio Museum are some of the museums in Pocitos, all of them less than 1 km from the Hostel.
BARS AND RESTAURANTS. In the area where the hostel is located you will find a wide selection. You can taste from pizza, roast meat, chivitos (typical Uruguayan sandwiches filled with a variety of food), mexican food, vegetarian dishes, fine Italian pasta and fish.

| Bus: | How to get to the hostel from the bus station Go to the stop on Bulevar Artigas (take the main door to leave the terminal). Take the 183 omnibus going to Pocitos and get off at Bulevar España and Enrique Muñoz (before the Ombú). Walk along Bulevar España towards the ombú until you get to Luis de la Torre Street. | we reserved a room that did not exist, we were put in a makeshift room in a emergency exit, no fan, air conditioning, power points, did not want to stay, our 10% had not returned and we almost had to pay a daily basis. terrible service! | ||
