Palermo Art Hostel opened in April 2007, a new concept in accommodation. The first cultural hostel in the country, located right in Palermo neighbourhood, the heart of the African-Uruguayan rhythm, 2 blocks from the rambla, 4 blocks from the beach and few metres from the center and legendary Rodó Park.

The hostel, built in a house over 100 years old, has 700 square metres and is arranged as follows: 4 to 10 beds shared dormitories private rooms 6 bathrooms 24 hs Reception Breakfast (toast, mermelade, butter, caramel, biscuits, fruit, milk, tea, coffee, cocoa) from 8.30am to 10.30am 2 equipped kitchens computers with Internet access, WiFi public telephone sheets and towels (only in private rooms) cleaning service 24 hs hot water individual lockers, safe box laundry service 24 hs medical emergency tourist assistance bike rental libray board games TV and DVD, films, music bar and pool and terrace.

What makes Palermo ArtHostel a unique place is its multicultural spectrum, that aims to promote different art areas: photographic exhibitions, paintings works, books presentations, video clips, short movies and a large mural by Sebastián Sáez, are some of the many expresions of art that the guests will be able to enjoy, as long as they do not want to exhibit their own work.

Palermo ArtHostel is not simply a hostel, is a cultural bridge between the people from Montevideo and our visitors, that gives the possibility of exchanging the different forms of expresion with the world.
