The hostel is part of Mjölby Homestead, a historic treasure on an island in Svartån in central Mjölby. On the island come together a large number of buildings from 1700 - and 1800's and the houses function as a hostel today.
Living in the renovated rooms at the hostel is a journey in itself. There's plenty to see and interesting places to discover, both alone and in the museums. The spirit is typical of this period and held throughout the year various events and also special heirloom summer days when children can experience the way life used to be.
