Internet did not work in room. Music in the corridor annoying. Very old building, will be much better once renovated. Breakfast quite bad Staff forgot to give me a bill for the towel. Nice trees around. Shops, restaurant very accessible.

The best in hostels is that you can meet amazing people from all over the world. We met soooo cool people from Holland and we will certainly visit them in Amsterdam! Plus- a good breakfast is included in the price and it's sweet:)

Hostel response:
Hello Katarzyna, We are happy that you enjoyed your stay and we looking forward to seeing you again as our guest.

The hostel was clean and no bad smells but I noticed that it was noisy in the hallway around midnight where people are talking loud and I could hear footsteps on the corridor which disturbs my sleep.

There is only one plug in room with 6 beds for 6 people??? Shower room is small and kind of weird. I would prefer to stay other places if I got better choice.

Hostel response:
Hello, We are sorry for what you experienced during your stay.We are still renovating the hostel. We are trying to get everything better.

Quite a noisy place. Doors to rooms make a lot of noise and corridors seem to amplify sound. Security is OK since there are large lockers outside the rooms. Breakfast is basic but good for money. Like most large hostels it is a conveyor belt, so don't expect much help from the staff.

all around great service!! internet very very slow and it kept crashing or downloading emails, facebook so slowly and I had to keep buying 2 euros of time because I had to wait a long time for a simple email to open!! the closing of the dorms from 10am to 2pm was a bit strange...location ok...

The wi-fi is terribly slow in the evening. It takes an hour of waiting to do five minutes of work. They should get routers on each floor for guests who bring their own computers. How much can they cost? And what do they need timed, password-protected wi-fi for anyway? What a joke! The toilet rooms are a disgrace. They could put new seats on the toilets that can receive them, and replace toilets that can’t have attached seats. I don’t want to scrub pissed-on toilets every time I want to sit on one. Install urinals! Simple breakfast of juice, cereal and coffee. Institutional and sterile. Helpful staff. No kitchen. Normal Italian HI lockout and curfew. I recommend no Italian HI facilities

Hostel response:
We are sorry for the slow wi-fi connection, it usually happens when too many people are connected, or if users are downloading files instead of simply surfing. This is why we put a time limit on the connection for each user: we have more than 300 beds, if every user is connected all the time, even the fastest connection divided for 300 people would become too slow. The toilets will be improved as soon as the renovation proceeds. Because sharing toilets is not very comfortable, we also have rooms with private bathroom, on the upper floor, which have just been renovated. We have no curfew, our Hostel is open 24 hours. Dorm rooms and corridors have to be empty during cleaning for security reasons between 10-14; during that time customers can stay in the TV room and store their luggage in the luggage deposit room. Our breakfast is "Italian breakfast" with cereals, hot drinks, milk, butter, jam, biscuits, honey, cheese, bread, and customers can eat as much as they want! You have to consider that it would be too difficult (for a Hostel this big) to provide a breakfast for all nationalities. Thank you for your suggestions, we will be happy to improve where possible!
