The hostel is a welcoming place for young people, families and groups, school trips and sport organizations. The hostel offers comfort, a wide range of services and a peaceful garden. It is well positioned for guests intending to visit sights of artistic and cultural interest such as Milan's Cathedral and Castle, Santa Maria delle Grazie Church with Leonardo da Vinci's last Supper, as well as night-life around Brera and Navigli areas, not to mention the ethnic restaurants, top-name fashion stores, sport facilities and San Siro Stadium.

| Unhappy that HI continue to validate this hostel as part of your network. This should be revoked. Security is a big issue and also lack of toilet facilities. My recent email to your office explains further. Hostel response: | ||

| The staff were wonderful, and particularly helpful when I had to leave early - helping me to find breakfast before opening time.
I remain a big fan of Hostelling International.

| Findability with TomTom is bad based on the address printed on the reservation. The address can not be found in Milano. The name "Piero Rotto" leads you to a small village. | ||

| The hostel is well-organized but it takes quite a long time for check-in. Regardless of the absence of the kitchen, everything is just fine with me, except the noise during the night. It's lively and full of fun in the common room downstairs at night. But it's just too noisy in the corridor even after midnight ... talking, yelling, running, banging the doors, you can hardly sleep ... I am 100% sure that it is not a normal practice in any other youth hostels in the world. It was during Easter holiday when I was there but it doesn't necessarily mean that there should be no more rules for the guests ... | ||

| Hard to find if you dont know what to look for, very poor map. This is a good deal for the price. Free breakfast, good water pressure, fairly clean rooms. The hostel was under construction when I went and there were no seats on the toilets. No signs on the road for a sleep deprived traveler to see like at other hostels. I went to a hostel down the street and they gave me a good map of the city and directions to this hostel. The maps they give for free dont show much. Its far from the city center, had to walk due to metro worker strikes. Its very quiet. | ||

| It was extremely cold. The heating system was broken and it take them quite a while to repair it.
What's worse, they didn't provide additional blankets or any kind of refund. Hostel response: | ||
