Located in Mendoza city centre, in San Martín Street, Mendoza Backpackers is only 5 blocks from the bus terminal and is ideal for getting to know Mendoza on foot.
The location is great because everything is near, it’s really safe, plus only a few steps out of the hostel there are plenty of pubs, restaurants and dancing clubs to go out at night.
Mendoza Backpackers has dorm rooms with and without private bathrooms, a kitchen, common room and a lovely roof-top terrace. The hostel’s Circus Bar is a great place to hang out and offers food and drink every night (half board menu).

| The reason I didn't feel safe was other guests were out of control drunk and harassing me (and other women); unwanted touching, following me to my room, etc. Except there was no one visible in the bar area to help :( | ||

| Loaction was great, the bathrooms on the first floor were clean but the bathroom for my dorm was in need of a serious renovation and cleaning. The lockers were not safe, wooden with flimsy chipboard backing that had been ripped off the corner lockers. The dorms were Good and the bar had a really nice outdoor terrace also used for breakfast. Rodrigo who checked me in and who I dealt with most of the time was extremely friendly and helpful. He is the right type of person to be working at your hostel. Friendly helpful staff really do make the difference in a hostel. There was a great BBQ and at nearby associated hosel for 60 Pesos with delicous Argentian beef and a wine and Pizza night for 30 Pesos the second night I was there. Replace the lockers with secure metal ones and renovate the bathrooms and this will be a great hostel. | ||

| Los cuartos son muy pequenos pero la verdad es q este hostel esta genial. Muy buenas areas comunes. La parte de arriba donde esta el bar es la onda. En las noches se pone tan bueno el ambiente q practicamente sientes q estas en un bar de una importante avenida. El staff muy buena gente. Lo recomiendo ampliamente. | ||
