Mehamn is the gate to the northernmost mainland point in Europe; Nordkyn. It is a beautiful area, where you can experience the midnight sun.
Mehamn Vandrerhjem offers an activity holiday with guided trips for all tastes. We recommend a trip to the lighthouse of Sletnes. - The world's northernmost point for a lighthouse. Or experience the very northermost point on the mainland in Europe, Nordkyn!
Other activities at the hostel are snow scooter safari, sea- and river fishing and more. Our staff know the area very well and are helpful for recommendation. We also recommends our guests to try our popular fish restaurant located on the ground floor at the hostel.

| Sea port: | From Hurtigruten you should take to the right towards the centre. Follow the main road about 1 km until you see the sign, Mehamn Vandrerhjem. Take off the exit and drive about 1 km to Mehamn Vandrerhjem. |
| Location: | Mehamn is accessible by air, Hurtigruten and by car. From Alta and Lakselv follow the main road from Lakselv to Ifjord. Further take to the left when you arrive in Ifjord and follow RV 888 until you get to Mehamn centre. Take off by the second exit on your right after the centre and you will see Mehamn Vandrerhjem. |
| Airport: | From Mehamn Airport you should take the left towards Mehamn centre until you see the sign of Mehamn Vandrerhjem. Take off the exit on your left siden and follow the road 1 km. |

| this is a very small hostel near the water. The rooms are just for sleeping. Allthough the hostel is clean and neet it's quite expencive and the staff didn't give the 10% discount allthough we had a "hi-hostel card". | ||
