After some renovation including refurbished bedrooms and a new restaurant, YHA Malham will reopen 15th February 2013. Malham YHA is a purpose-built hostel that welcomes educational groups and young children. Set amongst spectacular scenery, an easy walk from the limestone pavements and Malham Tarn.
Families, individuals and groups love this comfortable hostel in the heart of a beautiful dales village, surrounded by classic limestone scenery. Malham Cove, Malham Tarn and Gordale Scar are all a short walk away. The Pennine Way and Yorkshire Dales Cycle Way pass close by, making it popular with walkers and cyclists.
There’s even more reason to visit the glorious Yorkshire Dales now that YHA Malham has reopened following a major renovation programme. State-of-the-art seminar facilities, a new restaurant with bar and a landscaped walled garden have all been added to improve the offer at YHA Malham. Visit soon to enjoy a hearty meal and a great night’s sleep after a day in the great outdoors.
Accommodation is in 2-6+ bedded rooms and facilities include TV, self-catering kitchen, laundry and evening meals with a child-friendly menu.

| If you pay extra for a twin room it should at least be big enough for two people - -and this one only had a very small window so very stuffy with two people and next to the toilets so very noisy when guests were up and about between 5 and 6am banging doors having showers, using loos otherwise a wonderful hostel but for the kitchen where the two hobs are too close and it's too small for more than 2 people cooking!!!!
come on yha one of the reasons diehards like me use yh's is to enjoy the kitchen craic and be able to comfortably/safely self cater
i have rated poor value simply because of the size of the room and kitchen
if i did not want the craic or the facility to self cater a travel lodge would be cheaper cleaner and more luxurious ie more than enough room to swing a cat, tea and coffee facilities, en-suite, real beds and windows which ventilate adequately and often the availability of excellent all you can eat breakfasts
