Mainz, the capital of the Rhineland-Palatinate, is a friendly, cheerful and multi-faceted city with a rich history and culture. Mainz youth hostel is located right next to Volkspark with its many leisure facilities for every age. Our modern hostel is ideal for exciting family holidays and schools trips and equally great for events, workshops, music camps and functions but also for individual travellers. It has 173 beds in single, 2- and 4-bedded rooms as well as dorms. All rooms have en suite shower and WC. Some rooms have wheelchair access.

| Decent hostel, staff friendly, very clean and good breakfast. Plus nice view from the room. My only concern was the location as when returning to the hostel at night it didn't seem very safe walking down a badly-lit alley next to the Volkspark! Not great as a solo female traveller... | ||
