Steeped in history, this hostel in london is partly a former Jacobean mansion, built in 1607 with links to many famous people. Within walking distance of many museums and great places to visit around London, you can get a real taste for big city life.

Who says you can’t have it all? This mansion in the middle of Holland Park was visited by Sir Walter Scott, Lord Byron and Dickens. It now offers large, comfortable rooms that overlook the park and the large garden. It’s just 5 minutes walk from Kensington High Street and the Royal Albert Hall, Kensington Palace and the main museums are nearby.

Holland Park YHA facilities include internet access, self-catering kitchen, TV room, laundry and library. Our restaurant opens onto private gardens and an ornamental pond; the perfect setting for an evening meal.

Bunk beds are too small and very congested. this is very different from other hostels where bunk beds are only for two people instead of three in holland park.

I really liked this place, lovely location and very convenient for Olympia where I was attending a workshop. It's looking tired and dated now but was perfectly clean and there were excellent showers. It was difficult to sleep as people arrived throughout the night, perhaps I was just unlucky with my timing. I would certainly use it again.

The watertabs in bathrooms were not ok! The flow was very hard and easily got on clothes and well, everywhere! I also prefer when hot and cold water are mixed together and not in one tub each. Showers were better but still difficult to control the flow and also the heat - there has to be a max temperature to avoid burning one self!!

Hostel.Holland Park is a nice place. With a beatiful garden and the possibility of a good meat in the evening, it is a good place for relax, study and visit london..

Remember to bring with you a towel and a padlock for the locker, or they will charge you 4£ and 3£ respectively. Internet is expensive, 20 minutes 1£. Breakfast is 4.95£ but is worth it. The rest is OK.

A mid-week stay which was good value The Hostel was clean and comfortable The Lounge was notavailable which was a pity The S/C Kitchen could do with a few more mugs and fridge space. Nice to see that YHA-E&W still have a few of the Traditional Youth Hostels left Thanks

Toilet stalls are a bit small. Hostel is kept clean and security is great. The building is old and could use some updating. WIFI is not free either...a down side to this hostel. Location within a park is super nice, just takes a bit longer to get around London with the tube from this location, have to add a bit of extra time because the tube connections can take a few extra minutes. I would still stay here again though. Peaceful, quiet, safe, clean and nice staff.
