Lodz hostel is one of the HI network of hostels in Poland. Suitable for groups and centrally located guests will find lots to do nearby. The hostel is located close to Piotrkowska street, the city's pride and joy. No trip to Lodz is complete without a stroll down Piotrkowska street - Public institutions, banks and stores, restaurants, pubs, discos, antique shops, art galleries and cinemas are all centred around this main promenade. After a day of sightseeing guests can come back to the hostel and enjoy its own gym and garden with barbecue facilities.

For decades Łódź was regarded by many as nothing more than a boring city of factory chimneys. The unique architectural, scenic, natural and cultural values went largely unnoticed. Until quite recently. Today's tourists take great delight in seeing beautifully refurbished tenements and residential structures of great factory magnates – the real gems of Art Nouveau and eclectism – as well as museum collections and unrivalled nineteenth-century industrial architecture. What is more, Łódź is an important economic, commercial, cultural, scientific, educational and health services centre that can boast both a long-standing tradition and recent achievements. Łódź is widely known for the world-famous events held here: the Ballet Meetings in Łódź, Camerimage – the International Film Festival of the Art of Cinematography, Explorers Festival, Alexander Tansman International Competition of Musical Personalities and 'Golden Thread' – the Contest for Fashion Designers, to mention just a few.

Very comfortable Hostel. Many of the staff were helpful. Little bit unfriendly to start with. Clean and smart bed linnen. Had to come down and ask for towells. Only a few cups with handles in the kitchen. Staff were friendly once they got to know us. Good shops close at hand. Definitly come again.
