Lisbon 'Parque das Nações' hostel was built in 1998 to accommodate young people from all over the globe who came to visit Expo 98. The hostel is one of the HI network of hostels in Portugal, and one of four hostels in the Lisbon area. This part of Lisbon has been renovated and is now modern and lively with lots of things to see and do. Young people are absolutely thrilled with the new possibility to watch huge concerts in Pavilhão Atlântico and visit the theme pavillions and Lisbon's Oceanarium.

| There is a terrible damp smell . . I was in room 200 . . the smell has gone through all my clothes and backpack. The staff were really helpful. Not sure about the truck load of children running around at 11 pm! | ||

| Not the most central location, but in a nice, quiet neighborhood and next to a metro station. Very clean, and staff were extremely friendly; basic youth hostel, absolutely no complaints. | ||

| My only complaint was that it was difficult to find; there aren't any signs up besides the sign next to the door.
Good breakfast. Large bathroom facilities and pretty rooms. A very good value for the price. | ||

| Our stay at the Parqua das Nações was super, except for a very noisy group of Germans. Rooms were modern, clean and comfortable. The bathroom could need a little make-over, but we had everything we needed. Breakfast is very basic. Missed some fresh fruits and juice. | ||

| We really enjoyed our stay at the Parque das Nações youth hostel. Rooms are really nice, only the bathrooms may need some renovation. Breakfast was really basic, but more than alright to get your day started. | ||

| Stayed Sep 2012. Stayed in a very nice room for 2, which looked more like in a decent hotel. Nice English speaking staff. First time in my life when I actually walked from an airport to a hostel (just 3 km but cannot recommend to walk at late evening as I did, first half of the area is _not_ safe at night). Location is close to the train station but if your final destinations are Guincho or Caparica, I would recommend something closer to them. Overall, an excellent place, one of the best hostels I stayed in. | ||
