| My second time at this hostel, excellent staff, lovely view from the dinning room although this time we didn't use it as we had our own kitchenette and bathroom in the room. Very recommendable!! | ||

| Wonderful hostel with big spacious rooms! I didn't notice any lockers for valuables which wasn't a problem for us as we we were the only ones in our room - it felt very safe anyway. Thanks! | ||

| We stayed at the Laugarvatn hostel in Iceland for only one night. It is very close to Geysir & Gullfoss. We were greeted with a smile by the warm and friendly hostel owner. The hostel is quite large and very clean. We stayed in a private room. We had to rent sheets because we didn't bring any, so make sure you bring a sleepbag or something. There was a huge kitchen to cook if you want. There was even a hot tub outside in the back. Really great hostel, great people working there. Perfect location for Gullfoss/Geysir. | ||

| Very friendliness, a very pleasant atmosphere. We appreciate the breakfast proposed by the person in charge of the HI in their own house. | ||

| Please, be aware that this hostel does not accept credit cards. It's stated in the reservation conditions but we thought all the hostels around Iceland accepted them and never read about it. Our mistake! but anyway if that happens to you don't try to talk with the lady in charge telling her that even in the faraway places of the country every little shop, coffee bar or guesthouse accept them, and that you are surprise that in the closest Hostel to Reykjavik does not. You will be sent directly to the cashier next door to the hostel that will charge you the usual high comission or you will be "kindly" invited to cancell your booking and find somewhere else to rest. Despite this unfortunate welcome, the triple room on the downstairs floor was ok in size and cleanliness thought it has a smell of damp. We were not really satisfied. | ||
