In the nineties this old match factory was converted into a modern youth hostel with education and conference facilities. It is located in the lower part of Lauenburg, right on the river Elbe and the Elbe cycle route.
We offer comfortable accommodation of the highest standard for conferences as well as families and other travellers, no matter if you come to concentrate on your work or just to relax. We have quiet single and double rooms, two of which are wheelchair accessible, and four-bedded maisonettes for families with children. All rooms have en suite shower/WC and most offer spectacular views of the Elbe, the opposite bank (in Lower-Saxony) and passing barges. We have conference rooms of various sizes with all the necessary equipment. For a fee a small fitness area and a sauna are also available.

Bus #31 goes from Hamburg central station to Lauenburg, stop Albinusstraße (HVV price), from there it’s a short walk along Albinusstraße and the Himmelstreppe staircase to the youth hostel. |
