Just a few minutes walk to Kiyomizu Temple, 15 minutes walk to Yasaka Shrine, we are idealy located to explore Higashiyama area --- the eastern area of Kyoto, the beautiful ancient capital of Japan.
YH was newly opened in April 2008 on Chawan-zaka St. which leads to famous Kiyomizu Temple. Chawan means a ceramic bowl used when we eat rice --- there are traditional pottery houses lined up along the street. The YH building was renovated from a quaint Kyoto style house called "Machiya". Please enjoy this old but new accommodation.
