Hostel Details

The whole year we offer you a hostel accommodation for all ages on the border of Lapland. If you love nature, long or short walking or go skiing in the snow, there is enough to do in the area of Kuusamo-Ruka. The accomodation exist a typical Scandinavian log building and gives a warm feeling. The camping site, restaurant and a comfortable hotel offers you a pleasant place to stay in the north. Winter- adventures like skiing, dog and reindeer-sledges are possible. The walking route of bears, a famous trekking route through the Oulanka national park will be arranged by us. Our hostel has been laid next to the Iijarvi Lake and gives a lot of possibilities like berry-picking and searching mushrooms in the spring, summer and autumn. Are your needs simply doing nothing, then there is our smoke-sauna and Kota to please you. A combination for Finnish and Dutch hospitality makes our place a very good meeting point for all nationalities. Kuusamon Portti gives you the feeling that everybody from young to old is very welcome in our friendly atmosphere. HI will welcome you in Kuusamo!
