Located in the city centre, The Hump is the most popular destination for backpackers in Kunming. A traditional Bird & Flower market, banks, shopping malls, super markets and pubs are all within walking distance. A convenient city bus s.ystem supports your sightseeing in this beautiful city. Start your day in our spacious common room. In this common room, we have a bar, restaurant, satellite TV and a DVD player, so you can order drinks and food, or just enjoy music or a movie while taking a break. We also have the coolest roof garden in Kunming for travellers, including a pool table, table tennis, table soccer, a reading area with bean bags, and plenty of room to just chill out and soak up the sun. In the weekend, often wild parties drive people crazy and some travellers will share their musical talent with others.Once you step into The Hump, hustle and bustle is left behind because of the open, casual, and rich cultural atmosphere. Overlooking from The Hump's roof garden, you will see ancient twin towers and gates around Jinmabiji Square. The area is very busy. In the morning, local residents practise Tai Chi; in the afternoon, you can join in a music show and win a prize. If you stay longer, you can look around the weekend outdoor market and have some fun!Kunming International Airport is about 8km from The Hump, the train station is about 4km, and the nearest bus terminal is about 3.5km. There are many buses going these terminals regularly.Ticket reservation and information about travelling in Yunnan province is available at our reception. | Bus: | From west bus station take bus No.82 to the end,then walk toward to jinbi road,when you stand under the arch,we are lacated at the noetheast corner of square. From The South Bus Station to The Hump： Take bus NO.154(2RMB) to The International Trade Centre, and then change bus NO.107 to the Jinmafang(5 stops 1 RMB). The Hump is across the road on the right. Taxi approx. 45RMB From The East Bus Station to The Hump: Take bus NO.60 to the end then walking about 20 meters turn right to Yongsheng Rd, at the first traffic light turn left, about 300 meters take bus NO.107 to Jinmafang （5 stops 1RMB).you can find us at the northeast corner of square., and on the third floor. Taxi approx: 45RMB PS: The buses of kunmming are all without conductors so that you’d better have change 1 yuan |

| I just stayed one night and had to leave the following day. I was disappointed by the room which looked a bit shabby. It was very noisy and in a shabby area, plenty of litters at the bottom of the stairs leading to the hostel. People at reception were polite but not friendly. I did not like the place, it was not a friendly and welcoming environment like in other places I stayed in China. I had to pay for a very bad internet connection. Positive point: a nice terrace where one can have breakfast. Good chinese breakfast at reasonable price. | ||
