Kreuzlingen is right next to the German city of Konstanz on Lake Constance. The youth hostel, with its high ceilings and sunny rooms, was formerly a manor house and was renovated true to style in 2003. It lies in the middle of a park on the shores of the lake.

| Staff (Ms. Gabby) was very in-considerate even if she knew that we have travelled from far, an internatinal flight followed by a train ride to the place. We were drenched in pouring rain when reached the hostel and there were only 10 or 15 min left for 5:00pm. She maid us wait in such drenched conditions just to open reception office and check us in. If it was any one else I am sure he/she would have first let us into a room, get dried up, change clothes and then, bother about formalities of check-in process. At tleast that would be courteous/friendly approach of some one who in 'Hospitality Profession' to foreign guest(s), specially under such horrible circumstances.
The room was an Attic Room, with main roof beams crossing the room in the middle. Collapsable steel bracket for hangging clothes was about 36" above the pillow position and thus, if you are not careful, you may get hurt either in the eye or forehead. Extremely poor room/beds layout. | ||

| The place is beautiful and the hostel is very good. Everything works, but I didn't like that the lights in the bathroom are automatic and turned off during my shower at night... | ||
