At the middle Kingdom of Crystal and the Småland idyll is Klavreström. The place is an old industrial community on two lakes.
Here at the hostel is close to swimming, fishing and scenic areas. Brown trout and rainbow trout are plentiful so happy to rent a boat for a fishing trip on the lake. For those who prefer to take it easy and zip along the surface, there are also canoes for rent.
Nature Reserve Libbhults Meadows is located just a few miles from Klavreström. Several trails run through the area and at Great Meadow height, you have a beautiful view over the village. Please visit the lake's old church in Braås, one of the historically most interesting churches in Småland. The stone church dates from the 1400s and is on Lake Örken's western shore.
