Karlstad Hostel STF/HI is located only 1km from the centre in the area Kasernhöjden, which was the location of the military in its time. The whole building was renovated in the spring of 2007 and have now got 40 rooms, with everything from single rooms to dormitories to suit any request. Choose what you like according to your preferences! There is also a breakfast room, guest kitchen and a common room with TV. Shower and toilet facilities are provided in the corridor on every one of our 4 floors.
The big river Klarälven flows through our beautiful town and close to the centre, by the theatre, only 1km from the hostel, you will find the perfect place to lie in the sun and swim on warm summer days. Shopping, swimming and/or relaxation, it’s up to you!

| Every time when i am looking for a place for one night staying and i see the HOSTELING INTERNATIONAL logo , with out thinking I book the place because I know it is the best choice.

| Sorry to say, overall we were disappointed. Particularly with additional charges when we arrived. We gave you all our detail online.. ie ages, non members,etc then we were given a price to pay. On arrival.. we were told ages did nt apply and additional charges. Also room were v basic. We would have got better value at a hotel. Hostel response: | ||
